Anticipating things to come...
With the new year underway, many of our collaborating theatre companies have begun rehearsing Cymbeline—if perhaps under more unusual circumstances than usual. As the covid-19 crisis continues to change how theatre makers are able to share their craft, many of our Cymbeline in the Anthropocene collaborators are adapting new ways to reach their audiences.
In the coming months, our blog will feature exciting news from our collaborators (like our new Argentinian colleagues of the Setebos company!), updates from rehearsal processes across the globe, and eventually, performance date announcements. Also to come are new, multi-media adaptations of Cymbeline by the students of our directors who also teach emerging theatre artists—including one adaptation of Cymbeline with an all-avian cast!
For a taste of things to come, we are re-watching these soliloquy videos filmed by our colleagues at Montana Shakespeare in the Park back in spring 2020. We invite you to join us as we continue exploring the possibilities offered by eco-theatre in a rapidly changing world.
