Cymbeline in Melbourne Begins Tomorrow!
Cymbeline in the Anthropocene is glad to announce that our collaborators in Melbourne, Australia, begin their performance run of Cymbeline tomorrow! Today, we celebrate this fortune by featuring rehearsal stills taken by photographer Melissa Viola.
Despite a year of global uncertainty, Australia has managed to control covid-19 rates to levels that make it safe to open of theatres and arts festivals, including as La Trobe University's MOAT Festival.
This Melbourne Cymbeline is a co-production between La Trobe University Theatre and director Rob Conkie. Tickets are available on the MOAT Festival website (click here!) for performances between April 21-24.
While the Cymbeline in the Anthropocene team cannot travel to watch these performances live and in person, we wish the cast and crew "break a leg," and hope audiences in Melbourne are enchanted and edified by the story of Cymbeline.
Return to this blog after the performances for project updates from our nine collaborating theatres across the globe, including upcoming productions, concurrent goings-on, and more images and details from Cymbeline in Melbourne.
As always, you can follow us on social media @ecocymbeline, and use the hashtag #CymbelineAnthropocene to join the conversation.
