Rehearsal Notes from #EcoShakespeareLab

Since August, director Mónica Maffía is running an Eco-Shakespeare Lab at El Cultural San Martin in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she is currently artist in residence. Working with several theatre artists on the text of Cymbeline, the Shakespeare Lab will act as an incubator for the Setebos company’s production as part of Cymbeline in the Anthropocene. Below is a sneak peek at Mónica’s notes from the Shakespeare Lab’s first five sessions: fragments and reflections from the workshops in progress. The text is presented in Mónica’s original Spanish, with an English translation below.
